It’s a complete body transformation program focusing on muscle confusion workouts, nutrition and individual attention. I am beyond excited to be part of something so new and fresh. Kosama is spreading like a wildfire…it is the new Crossfit/Bootcamp, focusing on functional fitness. Kosama will give real challenges and real results. I can’t wait to help others change their lives!

Memorial Day ’12
(a friend of mine captured this awesome photo. the Iwo Jima Memorial on Marine Corps Base Hawaii)
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields. ~John McCrae
“Only the dead have seen the end of war.” ~Plato
How did you spend your Memorial day? Hopefully you took a few moments out of your day to give thanks and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
AFAA Group Fitness: Update!
I PASSED!
I am so excited! My results letter got lost in the mail from me moving around so much in the last month. I should have received it by march 13th, so I’ve been anxiously and impatiently awaiting its’ arrival. It got here today- I ripped that sucker open to read, ” Dear Instructor, Congratulations on PASSING!….”
yeah, buddy!
That’s a little boost of confidence I needed! A big THANK YOU to all my family and friends who encouraged me along the way! Gratzie!
I know I’ve been slacking big time in the blogging world. I’ve been uprooted, rerooted and unsettled for going on 2 months. It’s been an adventure to say the least. I promise, soon as life resumes a normal and sane flow nourish.nature.love. will resume with consistent posts.
peace&love.

I’m Alive
I made it to the good ol’ south! South Florida!…which really isn’t “the south”.
It feels good to be home. The dogs made it safely and we’re all enjoying some family time.
I’ve been fighting a nasty chest cold since leaving HI, so working out has been scarce. But I finally got back to it the other night!…I’ve been so excited to come home and try out the yoga studio my sister goes to.Their classes and prices are awesome, so I’m definitely taking advantage of that while I’m here. It felt great to get back into a studio, it’s been too long since I’ve practiced in a group setting.
I think the thing I am most excited about is my new juicer! My uncle gave Goshen(my grandma) a really nice juicer when she was trying to fight off the cancer. And now that she’s passed and her house is being emptied I was given that juicer. I got to use it for the first time this morning and I’m in lurve. I juiced some romaine lettuce, spinach, parsely, carrots and apple this morning for brekkie. Can’t wait to make some nut butters and sauces.

In Search of the Perfect Human Diet
This docu addresses the horrific obesity epidemic that is running rampant in America. In hopes to understand and reverse the epidemic, the film creators explore the diet of our ancestors, how their diet differs from the SAD and what effects they have on the human body and our health. This film isn’t strictly a Paleo/Primal lifestlye film-it doesn’t take any bias. It’s simply just delving into the facts of our ancestors diet and health.

I can’t wait to watch the whole thing!
